The Nouveau Dragonfly Necklace borrows its lines from the art nouveau era, when jewelers wandered into the garden for their muse. An openwork dragonfly in warm 14K yellow gold is crowned with a London blue topaz, the deep color of a pond at dusk, and trails a small cluster of clear natural diamonds that flicker like light on water.
Old folklore says a dragonfly appears when change is near, and that it carries the wishes of those who notice it. That makes this dragonfly necklace a meaningful gift for her: an anniversary gift for your wife, a milestone birthday surprise, or a keepsake for anyone who loves the garden and the water's edge.
Stones: one natural London blue topaz, approximately 0.30 ct; three clear natural diamonds, approx. .42 cttw, just shy of a half carat. Lab-created stones are available on request.
Designed by American artist Lori Strickland, cast in 14K yellow gold by the traditional lost wax method in our Florida studio, finished by hand, and accompanied by an artist bio card. It hangs on an 18-inch chain.
