Garden lore says that when two birds sing to each other among the flowers, love is close by. The Bird Flower Earrings bring that sweet duet to life in 14K yellow gold, with two songbirds facing one another, each resting on a blossom as if pausing between songs.
Their wings are finely sculpted with delicate feather detail, and each flower opens around a natural rhodolite garnet, the rich raspberry pink of a rose in full bloom. Graceful leaves sweep beneath the blossoms in the flowing line of art nouveau jewelry, and each earring drops from a leaf-shaped top that sits neatly on the ear with a secure post back.
Rhodolite garnet takes its name from the Greek for rose, a fitting stone for a garden of birds and blossoms. Legend has it that Noah hung a glowing garnet in the ark to light the way through the darkest nights, and it has long been treasured as a stone of devotion and lasting friendship, so these earrings make a romantic gift for her, an anniversary gift, or a January birthday treasure.
Wear them with the Bird Flower Necklace with rhodolite for a matched set, or let them sing on their own.
Stones: two natural round rhodolite garnets (4mm), approx. 0.60 cttw. Lab-created stones are available on request.
