Christogram IHS Cross Necklace
Beautiful Faith jewelry with a rich history and tradition. Ancient Christians used this Christogram as a crest or symbol for Believers. During dangerous times for Christians, these symbols helped believers recognize each other and escape persecution. Size (approximately): 1.12 ” x 1.12″ not including jump ring. IHS interpreted as meaning Iesus Hominum Salvator (Jesus Savior of Men) in Latin or connected with In Hoc Signo used in latin since the 7th century. English language interpretation of IHS have included “I have Suffered” and “In His Service”.
